Conferences

The International Team represents the PPL at World and European Conferences, where they engage with other national scout associations. In addition to political events, there are numerous further training programs for leaders and officials to exchange with guides and scouts from all around the world.

World and European Conferences

The World Conferences of the two world organisations WOSM and WAGGGS form the highest decision-making bodies of the international scouting and guiding movement. These meetings discuss key issues in order to move forward. The results of the meetings are formulated as resolutions and form a triennium plan. The delegates of the national associations vote on these at plenary sessions, which may result to final amendments. Also the members of the European or World Committees are re-confirmed or newly elected.

The World Conference is held every three years. A meeting of the European Region takes place in the previous year to prepare for it.

World Scout Youth Forum

In preparation for the World Conference, the World Scout Youth Forum takes place shortly beforehand. National scout organizations appoint delegates aged between 18-25 years to establish international networks and discuss topics that are relevant for this age group. Youth Advisors geht elected among the participants, who are committed to represent the youths interests in the World Scout Committee.

German Speaking Conference

The annual conference for scouts and guides from German-speaking countries serves as an exchange platform. New impulses are generated at various workshops and international contacts are made.

Academy

The Academy is an annual international training program for scouts and guides in leadership and management positions. It offers a wide range of workshops, though the greatest benefit results from the exchange with other participants.
